Whenever the kids are confused about something that their friends can do (usually see) and we have to say no, all we have to do is hold it up to the light of this verse and there is no arguing. I think.... my word is going to be Tarry. When Martha came running to the Savior and asked him why he tarried as Lazarus lay dead in the sepluchre for 4 days He told her it was for the Glory of God, for the greater good, and then He wept with Martha. He knew he was going to fix everything, he didn't pat Martha on the head and tell her to quit blubbering, that He was there to bring Lazarus back....... he wept with her, and then He raised Lazarus from the dead.

My word this year (or phrase more like), is trust in the tarry. When things aren't being fixed/healed/answered/etc. as quick as I'd like, I remind myself that the Lord is tarrying for the greater good but not to worry, He weeps with me, and then He'll fix it all.Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04904348716444211746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2711436481581466655.post-51091678812473533882013-01-28T05:01:04.061-08:002013-01-28T05:01:04.061-08:00Tanna..I'm thinking I need to do a post on wha...Tanna..I'm thinking I need to do a post on what each of the 'whatever' words means....
Might have to.
<3
Donnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10473148914709570743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2711436481581466655.post-68980967580369115812013-01-28T04:18:14.797-08:002013-01-28T04:18:14.797-08:00Excellent!!! And I haven't chosen a word for th...Beautiful. And I haven't chosen a word for this year, yet. I just realized that. Now, about what you have written. Once upon a time, Joseph Smith was asked to explain what the core beliefs of the LDS church are, so he sat down, one hundred and fifty or so years ago, and wrote down thirteen articles of our faith, a clear summation of our basic principles. And this is the 13th:

"We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul - We believe all things, we hope all things,
we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."

And so there it is. I see your testimony in your choices, and that is the strongest testimony of all. In fact, that is, for me, the definition of faith - to believe is one thing. To walk in that way is faith.
Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02040714440875408436noreply@blogger.com
