I agreed to share my live with my best friend, my hero, my strong, God loving and faithful husband.
In this time span we have moved across the country and back again, weathered the loss of old, dearly loved, pets and the gathering of new, dearly loved ones. We have bought and paid for our piece of property, named Shangri La Ti Da, and built the shell of our new home. We have worked and retired and worked again....but most of all we have loved steady and sure and strong.
God sent this man for me...he is my dreams come true, my happily ever after, my gentle giant.
Don't we look happy?
Happy anniversary, my little husband.
I love you for always!
Oh, sorry I turned all your hair gray! :-)

Holy Schmoly! (My mother says not to call things holy that aren't holy like, holy cow!) Unholy Schmoly!!! (Doesn't quite sound right.......) Your little husband's HAIR! It is dang long! Is it still that long?
This is a wonderful photo Donna. Happy Anniversary!!!! And many mooooooooore!!!
Congratulations!! What a gorgeous photo of you two! Rachel is right you can feel your happiness. Happy anniversary and many more to come. You did turn his hair white LOL xx
Jenni, he just informed me that I didn't turn his hair gray, but rather silver!
Yes, Rachel his hair is that long still, but now a lovely shade of silver....not gray...
I have somehow managed to misplace all of the other photos from our wedding, but this one, but this was always my favorite, so I guess I can live without the others. And then again, maybe I will find them when we move again!
I think this photo is lovely. :D Your husband is an optimist. I'll have to remember that as I lament that my hair is turning grey.... NO IT'S NOT!!! It's SILVER! Sniff!!
He says it is silver because there is a difference in texture...it is very soft, so maybe he is on to something.
Hmmm. Silver does sound more soft then grey..... I like your little husband.
This picture was thirteen years ago? What did I look like 13 years ago? I can't remember. But now I'm going to have to look. You were an adorable couple, which is no surprise whatsoever.I'm so glad it happened and you happened and everything. And his hair really did change!
Yep, 13 years ago...I don't think I look much different....just skinnier and fatter and skinnier again....might be starting to show a little age around the edges! But, I will wear it proudly - except for the jiggling arm thingies...don't like those much.
Oh, happy, happy belated anniversary, Donna!!! And, wishes for many, many more! LOVE this photo. You two look wonderfully in love... and just beautiful!! (yeah, I'm not a fan of the jiggly stuff either... don't know WHY we have to have them! LOL) blessings ~ Tanna
But, Tanna, your beautiful shawls are the perfect cover up for the jiggly bits!
You two are gorgeous!! What a beautiful tribute to your gentle little husband and the love you gave to one another. Happy Anniversary!
Blessings, Debbie
You got me again Donna, right in the heartstrings! That picture is the best, you two are so blessed and lucky! How often in this big wide world does it happen that the two people who are meant to find each other do? And how rare is it that if they do manage to find one another, they recognize the blessing that has been given them?
God Bless!
Melissa, we are more in love today than we were even then! I am blessed....so, blessed.
What a sweet post. You all are such a lovely couple. I am new to your blog and am glad that I found it!!
Alicia, thanks so much! Glad you found me and took the time to read and comment. Off I go to read your news.
Donna, I have no idea how I missed this post. What is wrong with me? (No, please don't answer that.) Okay, so, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! It just keeps getting better, and better doesn't it? And who would have guessed about the ever-growing connection part of it, given that the joy and love that were already there from the get go, which is so evident in that FAB photo. (That was an awkward sentence, but I'll let it go.)
My husband is silver haired too :-)
Yes, but did you single handedly change his hair to silver? I can't blame kids or parenting....just me! :-)
I really can't get over that I love him more now than then...such a sweet surprise!
No awkwardness noticed!
so so sweet!
so so sweet!
