The sound of it dripping, dropping, sliding. The smell of the green-ness and the wet dirt. The odd greenish yellowish light....
It really is a wonderful gentle rain that is a blessing for the gardens and the grasses.
I hope that God's grace rains down on you in wonderful and gentle ways today.
Looks like Skippy Jo Lohr has the same idea....
That's what he gets for hiding so cutely in my basket!

Oh, how I love a gentle rain. And look at those blooms!
Your Skippy Jo Lohr looks just like my cat in childhood. Dusty loved baskets too. What cat doesn't?
I was almost tempted to go out and take my walk in the rain, but that was going to require getting dressed!
I wanted a gray kitty for a long time. I think they look so sleek. One day a couple of years ago on a day much like today, Skippy Jo was up in the tree at the edge of the parking lot at school. He spent the day at school with me (yes, we have a teacher who keeps cat food in her room just for such emergencies) and then came home with me.
Okay, that has got to be a teacher thing. My friend, who is also a teacher, acquired one of her cats from the schoolyard (a stray, of course). Much to the delight of the students, she kept it in the classroom with her for the day. Don't know if anyone on staff had catfood though. You teachers have BIG hearts, thank goodness.
I LOVE walks out in the rain too.
Soft, sleek gray cats. My hands yearn to touch. I love rainy days, too - they are permission to hold still, to stew, a little, in your life. Your pictures are lovely. So is your vision.
And it's that greenish yellow color of wet spring, when the green is still new. Maybe I could sneak Skippy in the luggage....
Could you send some of that rain our way? I already feel like August............
We are green and bursting forth here...wish I could direct the weather. I can't keep up with the mowing around here!
