Spring!

Hands full of unassuming spring beauty...
...nestled safe and warm at the base of tall protecting trees and solid sturdy rocks, ready to surprise me and

...ready to bless the residents of the PawPrints Cemetery.

100 assorted daffodils, 4 pink peonies and 4 yellow irises...
The glorious rest of winter and the promise of spring both imagined on this balmy autumn day at Shangri La Ti Da.

Hard work with a good friend planting the promises from another good friend...much to be thankful for!
(Well, she didn't have to say, "No..."right as I was snapping the photo.)

Waiting to see how many ways my hand and arms hurt in the morning!

Also planted some near the fruit trees, by the shed and along the woods line hoping for naturalization and ever increasing abundance....

Can't wait to see them this spring! I planted a bunch of tulip bulbs when I was pregnant with the girls and not one grew - chippymunks found them all. lol

***Connie, I hope the chippies don't find mine...or the deer...or the raccoon...
***Tanna, I will be sure to show them off as soon as they peek their little heads out.

Ah- hope wrapped in onion skins and dirt. I planted some thirty years ago, and some of them are still coming up. Can you believe it? Thirty years old - or the bulbs had babies that took over. I love those surprises and always mean to replant, because the attrition has made the population thin. But It seems like autumn gets away from me, and I forget. Oh, the place is going to be so sweet. So wonderful. So magical. Funny how much work magic takes.

I love that idea that magic takes lots of hard work...
I am so lazy that I need plants that take care of themselves for as long as possible. If mine are still popping up each spring in 30 years from now, I will be thrilled! I will need to transplant the peonies over by the house when it is done to help them survive the deer population...hopefully.

Ever increasing abundance. You called it PERFECTLY. Oh, how I love the ways of abundance!

After our renos, we had tulips that had been in little beds around the house, showing up in the oddest places. Beautiful smiles in unexpected places.
