I got so excited about all the woolier ornaments that Karyn and Kerry had made the other day, that I forgot completely that I took them while I was teaching them how to make woven ornaments. DUH.
We made Carolina Snowflakes and little cute reindeer...and laughed out loud...a lot...and ate good food. And made memories.

Oh, my goodness! We had so much fun! I am busy trying to get all of the ornaments finished that I had planned on giving with gifts. The only problem is learning to part with them. Hmmmm...
And they turned out really well. My problem is going to be getting done...not giving away. I may end up giving IOUs! We need to plan our next crafting adventure...really.
Ohhh I like the green walls behind and the evergreen tree. Very festive!
How fun to have a girls craft night. Years ago I would get together with ladies and we'd 'craft'. I miss those days!!! Me thinks I need to get on Kristen to start something with her big addition to her house. It needs to be used!!
Rachel, Karyn's entire living room and hallway are that delicious green. It is so inviting and festive, no matter the season! When my new house is done I will have a studio to do this in, but for now...someone else's house...Karyn, are you listening? And from the photos I have seen of Kristen's big room, she could host a hoard of crafters! Go for it....

Oh yes, those green walls and white window trim are WONDERFUL! And the snowflakes, they make me smile. I like indoor snowflakes, where I can appreciated them in warmth.
I wanna learn how to make woven snowflakes too...
WSW...these snowflakes are easy. Want me to send you a link? Or you can google Carolina Snowflake and find some directions. I read them and figured it out and I am much more a visual learner usually.
I love inside snowflakes, too and here I can put them up about October and leave them until about April...love that!
I think I'm suffering a little post-holiday depression, oddly. I spent three days working on the Awful Hat, finished it, and now I'm very, very tired (too much sugar and staying up after midnight with Chaz) and not excited and blown out. But I love these weaving guys. Especially the reindeer - deer are my favorite Christmas thing. Wish I had been there. You can send ME a link!!

Kristen, I will send you a link and a reindeer because basket making isn't one of your crafts, is it? So, you don't have the reed do you? Sometimes it is better/easier to see a finished product and the directions at the same time. I figured out how to make a flapping origami crane just by taking one apart and putting it back together...pretty good, huh?
I don't mind giving my things away at all if I am 100% sure they are going to be loved...so I love to send to you!
Karyn is learning...she gave me one for Christmas! And I 100% love it!
ps I simply cannot imagine anything awful that you have made....knitted? or felt? I really want to make one like Nancy from Tom Miner Quilts...she's on my side bar. Go there and search wool hats and see those things!
