Friends and Flowers

Here are some seriously cute mice with a seriously helpful tutorial at

http://motherrhythm.blogspot.com/2010/07/seriously-cute-mouse-tutorial.html
(why didn't this turn blue?)

Hers are even cuter, but mine are getting better.

Three kind mice.  But, then two went traveling.

Packaged safe and sound to celebrate a birthday a little bit late...not TOO late, just a little bit.  And as my theory goes anyway, your birthday isn't over until the last gift or greeting arrives!
Tiny confession....they look so cute to me that I almost had to punch some air holes in the packaging for them....

I made the necklace (as in made the flowers from Fima clay and strung them all together with little felt leaves) a while ago, but couldn't find the right thing to wear it with.  All those pretty colors don't go with just everything.  But, they do go with my colorful tie dye dress pretty perfectly, don't they?  Happy match.

So, that's my crafty contribution for the day....gotta go mow.  Got rained out yesterday when I was only 1/2 done.

Me, too...except for blue. Teal is OK and aqua. I pretty much get or make what I like and then figure out what it can go with....and I am generally pretty flexible with that. Get lots of comments like, "Only you could wear that." What? Whatever....live on the edge!

I know where the mousies went, oh I know, I know where the mousies went and where they sleep tonight! And that necklace is GREAT. So happy. And so well executed. You clever, sweet thing. I sat down to write something myself tonight, and it just kept going and going forever and it wasn't charming or cute. Oy! So here I am, gulping happiness.

I knew the mousies went there as soon as you said they went into the post :-) they are adorable aren't they, will have to make some for myself, yes I certainly will...thanks for the link :-)

But, I am sure it was well written and thought provoking at the very least!

I want to try some more of that Fima clay stuff, but it requires purchasing more tools so maybe I can talk Misty into having another art gathering to make more things...she already has the tools!

I have a whole necklace of little smiling faces...each one different. The kids think they are erasers. I tell them they are the shrunken heads of kids who irritated me last year. They say, "You can't do that." I say, "That's what they thought, too." And smile contentedly.

So, I was wrong...it IS well written and amazing as usual. I am so happy that you posted. Now, off to comment there.

Jenni, your comment came through my yahoo email, but it didn't show up here....how did that happen?
Anyway, I hope you do make some mice...and then a nice 'video' of them cavorting about!
