With a bit of trepidation and a little camera angst I am off for a week in the mountains of Tennesse where the wonders of internet have not been installed in the cabin where we will be staying...so, I'm going to be out of contact for a bit.
Trepidation? Yes, I am nervous that my little husband is going to try and impress me with how much he gets done this week...stair building, GluLam installation, 2nd floor laying...we are at the point for all of that. Hopefully, some of the helper bees will come to help...he's making pepperoni rolls to share!
Hey. I was going to make them but the store didn't have the frozen bread balls, and besides, his are better than mine anyway.
Camera angst? Yes, I struggled with whether I should leave the camera for him to chronicle his progress or take it with me to chronicle the vacation. I have settled on taking the camera and being completely and wonderfully surprised with what happens on the home building front when I return. Then I will take lots of pictures and share it all with you.
Here is a little creation that I promised to show K...it is about 2" square and done with traditional rug hooking techniques...
Can you tell it is a little chick running to share the good news?
I promise I will catch up with everyone when I get back...be safe, have fun!

ANd I hope you have the best time ever!
Have a wonderful time. Well, I guess if you are able to read this I should say I hope you had a wonderful time!!
I love the little chick-y craft-y thing-y!!! It's just the right size for me to think I can take it on... I've always wanted to try rug hooking.
Blessings, Debbie
Okay, I'm not sure that I can get over your being a ONE CAMERA HOUSEHOLD. No, no - that's where I'm stuck. Maybe that'll get me to stop whining about the kids' PaS camera that I'm stuck with at the moment. But probably not.
Joining in on the YAYing goin' on here. And I'm adding rug hooking to my crafty-things-I-wanna-do list.
YAY for vacations!
Happy trails...
Love your little chick!! Hope you have an absolutely wonderful time in your mountain retreat! blessings ~ tanna
Thanks, ladies, I did have a fun time in a beautiful part of the country...not quite Rome, Tanna, but still beautiful. WSW, if I had a good-er camera, like you guys and photoshop possibilities, I would have to give up sleep. Kristen, I'm glad I got to share my little chick with you. I use him sometimes, because I am also a Weaver Chick and make a basket now and again. I think rug hooking could be something I could really enjoy...so many crafts and so little time!
