...being smart is as good as being strong.
...you find a rainbow.
...the sky is so blue it looks unreal.
...there are secret messages built into a home.
...you find tiny flowers that weren't there yesterday.
...God puts a small gift right in your open window and on your car seat.
...you have to share the flower.
...you get the flower all to yourself.
...it's a long climb up to the flower.
And sometimes you just have to bask in the beauty and wonder of what is all around you all the time.
Don't forget to look....

Gorgeous wonderfulness! (thanks for sharing)
Amen, sister. Amen!
Whew! I know the 100 degree mark just makes a difference! Seriously, be sure to drink plenty of fluids while y'all are working so hard/smart!
The dress mosaic is by a friend of mine, Cassie Edmonds. The piece is titled Dancing in the Midnight Garden. I did a post about it awhile ago, but you can google Cassie's name and find her in her gallery... lots of cool stuff! Cassie is another 50+ lady hitting stride with creating. Gotta love it! Thanks for asking about Middy. blessings ~ tanna
Thanks for coming to check in, Melissa!
Tanna, I checked out Cassie's stuff...amazing! They make me want to try out that art form.
And we are drinking lots of water - LOTS!
Very nice. Sometimes, as you climb, you wind your stripyness right around the flower stem. I like the part about God sending a little gift through your window. Today, in the midst of a culmination of weariness and discouragement, I suddenly (after looking in all kinds of places), after an embarrassed little prayer, went straight to a drawer and opened it - and simply found my Disney pins. And right after that, found my Mickey hat - for which I had also searched everywhere. Just went right to it and put my hand on it. A small gift of insignificant things to a weary, gun-shy woman who was beginning to feel like nothing would ever work again. A silly gift, but elegant in the giving. THese things were almost handed to me directly by a kind father.
The yellow flowers you found yesterday - were they snap dragons?
Oh so true, beatify abounds around us, cheers Marie
Kristen, I love when God does that "ta-da" thing and helps you out like that. I do expect to see pictures of you sporting the ears!
I am so praying that your recapture your joy on your vacation...
I don't think the flowers are snapdragons unless they are some wild sort. They are short. Butter and Eggs sticks in my head as a name someone once told me, but heaven only knows who or when.
Fab pics and your take on them is precious :)
Thanks, Bekahjane...so glad you visited!
Your property is alive! What a beautiful foretaste of the life you'll be living there!!
Blessings, Debbie
P.S. Careful you don't strain something... ;)
I have seen so much living out there. Amazing what you see when you are outside for hours at a time...and the straining...its all been strained and is well again! For the time being.
Today there were at least 4 kinds of butterflies on the milkweed.
